Explore the UNESCO World Heritage ruins, including sacred sites like the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, the oldest recorded tree in the world, and Ruwanwelisaya Dagoba, an iconic stupa. Enjoy an evening exploring the ancient city before overnighting in Anuradhapura.
Visit Mihintale, the birthplace of Buddhism in Sri Lanka, and climb 1,840 steps to reach the hilltop, where you can view rock shrines and stupas. Next, head to the Aukana Buddha Statue, a stunning 12-meter-tall statue carved into rock. Overnight in Dambulla.
