Itinerary

Your journey begins as you travel from Colombo to Pinnawala, home to the famous Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Here, you’ll get the chance to observe elephants being fed, bathed, and interacting with their caretakers—a fun and interactive experience for the whole family. Afterward, travel to the Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the magnificent caves, adorned with over 150 Buddha statues and breathtaking ancient murals that tell stories of Sri Lanka’s religious past. After a day of cultural exploration, settle in for an overnight stay in Dambulla.

On Day 2, you'll visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress, one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic landmarks. Climb to the top of this ancient fortress, where you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Along the way, admire ancient frescoes and explore the fascinating history of this once royal citadel. Later, head to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, where you’ll discover the impressive ruins of a medieval kingdom, including royal palaces, temples, and monumental Buddha statues. The site offers a chance for kids to explore and learn about the island’s rich royal history. Overnight in Polonnaruwa.

Day 3 brings you to the historic city of Kandy. Your first stop is the Temple of the Tooth, one of the most revered Buddhist temples in the world.
